Charles Njoroge is the founding Director of Jawabu Biashara Limited. He is a visionary leader and brings a wealth of experience on Microfinance that spans for over twenty years. Charles within the team context has been able to build some of the most vibrant credit only institutions in Kenya and across the globe through provision of functional leadership, ability to understand credit needs in diverse cultures, incorporation of innovation while appreciating the need of building staff capacity and teams to execute the financial solutions mandate.
Charles has not only served the microfinance sector in East Africa (Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Tanzania and South Sudan), but also in Eastern Europe (Kosovo) and West Africa (Sierra Leone and Nigeria). He has served as the Program Director – Finance Salone (Sieraleone), Executive Director – Micro Africa, Chief Executive Officer – Letshego Kenya and recently as the Head of Risk for East and West Africa in Letshego holdings.
He has served in several board positions in Micro Africa Limited Ltd, Tujijenge Tanzania Ltd, Finance South Sudan Ltd and Letshego Kenya Ltd. Charles has served as a Board member of the Association for Micro-finance Institutions (AMFI) in Kenya.
Charles Njoroge is a holder of a Bachelor of Arts – BA (NRB), Masters in Business Administration MBA (Moi) and a Master of Science – MSc Microfinance (State University Bergamo, Italy)
